ESTIMATES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Our Lighting partners need an organization willing to walk a facility, evaluate the existing circumstances and determine the feasibility of a project. This service is provided at no cost to the Partner with the understanding that "if our partner gets the jobs, we do too." We strictly adhere to a policy of first-come, first-served, and so we don't provide any competitor of our partner with pricing on the same project. Nor do we discuss any portion of ongoing or completed customer projects with a partner's competitor. Retro-Task also provides an assessment of the facility that includes recommended Energy Conservation Measures (ECM), as well as job-specific details that allow the feasibility of a project to be determined. Our walk-through Audit includes Wattage consumer (existing and ECM), hours of operations and projected savings.
DESIGN
- ENGINEER - SPECIFY
Retro-Task utilizes its experience and knowledge to select energy0efficient solutions as directed by its partners, with their goals stated prior to the walk-through. We understand the technology and application of reflectors, electronic ballasts, T* lamps, HID technology, compact fluorescent fixtures, and both exterior and parking lot design. The preference of our partners concerning watts saves, maintenance and performance contracting, financial restraints and partner preference decide how aggressively we select our solutions.
CONSTRUCTION GRADE AUDIT
Retro-Task walks the site and counts each and every fixture, on a room by room, fixture-by fixture basis. We provide a specific energy-efficient solution for each fixture encountered, along with a complete material list and written specification. The count will contain a room-by room listing of all existing fixtures and the recommended energy efficient solutions. Our Construction-Grade Audit includes a floor plan, room-by-room solution listing, technology-by technology counts, alternate solutions, installation of samples, if required, and a complete material listing. The data collected and illustrated during the Construction-Grade Audit are the documents on which the project is scheduled, installed and completed. The detailed information collected is used to define the scope of the work, and helps to avoid unexpected costs. A firm time-line for completion of the project is submitted after consultation with our partner and the agreement of the client. The fee for our Construction-Grade Audit is dependent upon the type of facility being surveyed. It can be included in the cost of the entire job or billed separately.
SAMPLES AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Retro-Task will install samples at the unit (solution) installed price stated in our estimate, if the installation can take place during the Construction-Grade Audit. Sample installed after the audit may be subject to a per diem or travel expense to cover our net cost. We understand that samples should not be a "profit center". All contract documents are based on the information complied during the Construction-Grade Audit. A room-by-room scope of work is provided for each project.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND INSTALLATION
Retro-Task provides an on-site Project Manager, foreman, crew and clean-up personnel on each project. We report daily on the previous day's work accomplished (room-by-room, fixture-by-fixture). We meet on a weekly basis with our partner and the client to discuss progress, address and resolve problems and schedule future work. Retro-Task staffs project in accordance with the approved time-line. Progress can be tracked on a daily basis using our "Retro-Report" tracking system. With it, we can provide our partners with a daily report of our progress for the overall project or on a building by building basis. retro-Task operated under permits from the local authority. We are fully insured and can provide Lien Documents with each payment. Retro-Task will handle hazardous waste using full safety measures, and will indemnify our partner and the client against any claims from its personnel.
TURN-KEY SERVICES
Retro-Task has National Pricing Agreements with most major manufacturers of energy efficient material. We very carefully provide this Turn Key service to a few partners. Once a partner requests our Turn-Key Service, we will not provide pricing on a labor-only basis to that partner. Our National Agreements allow Retro-Task to provide a complete and competitively priced offering of material. In some cases, our relationships with suppliers allow us to offer exceptional warranties on a given product. Our nation contracts allow our partners to compete aggressively with their competitors.
